TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -- Several changes are coming to military license plates issued to veterans and military members living in Florida.
Gov. Rick Scott on Thursday signed into law a bill (HB 559) that mandates redesigns and other changes to the more than dozen plates now in use.
The bill renames the "Korean Conflict Veteran" plate to the "Korean War Veteran" plate and requires the plate to be redesigned. It also requires the redesign of a plate for Vietnam veterans.
The legislation also calls for the redesign of 11 other military license plates to include the campaign medal or badge associated with it. Some of the plates include Operation Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
