SANFORD, Fla. (AP) -- A 26-year-old central Florida woman is accused of neglecting one of her twin sons who died when he was just three weeks old.

Seminole County Sheriff's officials arrested Michelle Spinicchia on Sunday. She charged with child neglect, domestic battery and resisting arrest.

Local news outlets report Benjamin Mitchell and his twin were born in July, each weighing under four pounds. Their parents were told to follow up with doctors because Benjamin was having trouble breathing.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Kim Cannaday tells reporters the child's father found him dead Aug. 10. An autopsy found he was "severely malnourished and underweight."

Officials didn't say who has custody of the twin brother.

Spinicchia is being held without bond. An attorney isn't listed on records.
