MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. - One boat sank and several others were badly damaged when fire broke out at a Madeira Beach marina early Wednesday.
A sheriff's office spokesperson say the blaze appears to be suspicious.
The fire began around 6 a.m. at the Madeira Bay Marina just north of John's Pass on Gulf Boulevard.
Two witnesses said someone was heard speeding away from the scene after an explosion. The incident is under investigation as arson.
Firefighters had the flames extinguished around 6:45 a.m.
