FHP seeks cars connected to November Florida Turnpike shooting

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. - The state highway patrol is looking for answers after a shooting last month on the Florida Turnpike in Broward County.

Investigators continue to search for the vehicles of interest that may have been involved in the shooting that occurred in the northbound lanes of the Turnpike near the Cypress Creek Road toll plaza on Nov. 2 at 10:30 p.m.

The victim was a passenger in a white Dodge Journey that had just pulled away from the Cypress Creek Toll Plaza and was involved in a possible traffic altercation with the driver of a black Infinity.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the driver of the black Infinity pulled next to the Dodge Journey and shot into the vehicle striking the victim.

The Infinity fled northbound on the Turnpike. The vehicles are described as a black Infinity and a black Dodge Challenger.
