An anesthesiologist went on a rampage in the back of a Florida Highway Patrol cruiser this week after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Zachary Bird's violent episode was all caught on police cruiser video.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that Bird nearly sideswiped an FHP captain's car, banged his head on the inside of a patrol car and spat blood into a sergeant's face.

Bird was traveling northbound on the Central Florida GreeneWay near Curry Ford Road about 1:30 a.m. Sunday and apparently was speeding, the Sentinel reports .

According to WFTV , troopers searched Bird in the back of the cruiser, which is when he began banging his head into the patrol car's Plexiglas divider. As the smashing continued, blood began running down Bird's forehead, into his eyes and mouth.
