A 22-year-old mother is accused of leaving her two children in a running vehicle while she helped a friend shop in an adult store.
Ke’ala O Kea Kua Morgan Crocker of Spring Hill was arrested Sunday on a charge of child neglect, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
Crocker left the children in her car outside the Todd Adult Superstore in Port Richey, her arrest report says.
A passerby noticed the children, ages 1 and 3, and waited with them for 20 minutes before calling Pasco County deputies.
Deputies found Crocker after they arrived. The report says she admitted to leaving the children unattended in her locked and running vehicle.
She told a deputies she’d made a “stupid mistake” and thought her children would be OK, the report says. It says the children weren’t harmed.
Morgan was booked into the Land O’ Lakes detention center.
