Democratic candidates for governor meet in town hall

Following Wednesday's Republican gubernatorial debate, the Democratic candidates for governor will take part in a town hall Thursday night at 8 p.m. at Jacksonville University.

The event will be carried live on WPTV.

The five leading Democratic candidates for governor - Gwen Graham, Philip Levine, Chris King, Jeff Greene and Andrew Gillum  - are scheduled to take part in the forum-style meeting, which is being hosted by News4Jax and the JU Public Policy institute.

The five candidates will appear together at the beginning and end of the event but take questions separately while the others are off stage.

WPTV Program Changes

In addition to airing on TV, the debate and forum will also stream live on wptv.com, the free WPTV app and on our Facebook page

These prime time events will impact network programming. Set your DVR accordingly to make sure you don't miss your favorite shows. The lineups are as follows:

Thursday, Aug. 9:
8 p.m.: Democratic Gubernatorial Forum
9 p.m.: Trial & Error
9:30 p.m.: Trial & Error
10 p.m.: America's Got Talent
3-4 a.m.: Law & Order Special Victims Unit (on delayed broadcast).
