Bull shark caught in Tampa: Men catch 300 to 400 pound bull shark off Howard Frankland Bridge

A couple of men hunting for shark can likely claim the catch of the day after pulling in a 300 to 400 pound bull shark on the Howard Frankland Bridge overnight.

The two men caught the shark about midnight, but it took about three and a half hours to get the 12 foot creature to the dock.

The men said they plan to cut up the shark into small pieces for bait.

Bull sharks are not a protected species, however the state limits a catch to one per day per person or two per vessel.
