The Broward Sheriff's Office is searching for a two-man team of armed robbers who hit a check cashing store in Pompano Beach Thursday morning. Detectives believe they are the same men who robbed Class Jewelers in Deerfield Beach on Friday.

During both robberies, the men disguised themselves as women.

Just after 8:30 a.m., deputies responded to 1749 N. Powerline Rd. in Pompano Beach regarding a report of an armed robbery by two armed men dressed as women. The robbers forced the employees to the back of the store.

On March 3, security cameras captured two men disguised as women entered Class Jewelers at 3756 W. Hillsboro Blvd. in Deerfield Beach.

The men lured the two female employees to the sales floor under the guise of looking for a wedding ring. One of the robbers brandished a gun, and suddenly both men jumped over the counter and cornered the two women. They forced the employees to the back room and ransacked the display cases.

Additional victims or anyone with information is asked to contact Broward Sheriff’s Office Det. David Agusti at 954-321-4332. If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or online at browardcrimestoppers.org.
