(WFLA) A Bradenton, Florida homeowner who got patriotic with the paint-job on his house to protest code violation citations now has 90 days to bring his house into compliance or face a fine of $100 a day.
Brent Greer, who painted his home to resemble the American flag, met with the code enforcement board Tuesday afternoon to hash out a slew of violations that the city found when they responded to a complaint of an overturned Christmas tree outside his home in February.
"I've got seven adopted kids, we're foster parents. Kids coming in and out of my house, they're my priority. My house is safe. It's state certified safe," Greer said.
Fortunately, he is getting some help with his home's issues.
Floyd Price, with Guardian Angels of Southwest Florida, told the board "most of it will be taken care of shortly."
