BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Boynton Beach Detectives are investigating the shooting death of a 30-year-old woman in her home early this morning.
Around 2:45 a.m. officers responded to 125 Ocean Drive and say they found Anisha Williams on the floor inside the house.
Police say that Williams was unconscious and bleeding from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body.
Williams was transported to Delray Medical Center where she died at 5 a.m.
Detectives believe that Williams knew her attacker, and are working several leads to track down the suspect.
"One thing that is important that we want the public to know that we do have information as to who the suspect is in this case. It was not a random act of violence. We believe she did know her attacker," Boynton Beach police spokeswoman Stephanie Slater said.
