An unexpected visitor came knocking at a Coral Springs home Thursday.
Luann George Alonso told NBC6.com that they thought a raccoon was making racket outside the front of their home on Southwest 1st Street until they realized it was something slightly bigger.
The visitor turned out to be a 9-foot alligator.
"I was petrified," Luann Alonso told NBC6.
A local wildlife trapper was then called out to the home. After a struggle the animal was finally captured, WSVN.com reports.
Trapper Kevin Garvey told Local10.com the gator will be returned to the wild or sent to a gator farm.
