COCOA BEACH, Fla. - Beach visitors in Central Florida are keeping a close watch on the water... for jellyfish.
Lifeguards say there were 400 stings reported Thursday alone in the Cocoa Beach area.
Blame the wind. That's what officials say is bringing the high number of jellyfish to shore.
Most are of the 'cannonball' variety, which can sting, but are not as harmful as the Portuguese Man o' War.
