3 found dead inside Miami-Dade County home, 5 rescued

Two adults and three children saved

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY - Three people were found fatally shot inside a southwest Miami-Dade home Tuesday night while five others inside the residence were rescued, police said.

The incident happened at a home along the 1800 block of Southwest 70th Avenue.

Officers were called to the residence about 9:30 p.m., according to Detective Roy Rutland.

Arriving officers were told that the shooter was still inside the home along with at least five people who were still alive.

Two adults and three children were found in a rear bedroom of the home and police rescued them through a window, Rutland said.

Inside the home, officers found two adult men and one woman dead. It's unknown if the person who did the shooting was among the dead. However, authorities Wednesday morning said a suspect was not being sought in connection with the incident, WTVJ-Ch. 6 reported.

There is no known motive for the shooting, Rutland said, and the investigation is continuing.
