HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (AP) — Two dozen women have been arrested in an undercover prostitution sting targeting massage parlors in South Florida.

Multiple news outlets report Hollywood police said Thursday that 24 women were taken into custody this week after detectives found evidence they were performing sexual acts on customers at 20 different locations in the city during the five-month investigation called Operation Red Light.

Police spokeswoman Miranda Grossman says the women face charges of solicitation of prostitution, operating without a license and misrepresenting themselves as licensed massage therapists.

Two of the women, who are owners of massage parlors, also face bribery charges.

Investigators say they also found beds, clothing and food that showed some of the women were living in the parlors. Police say some of the women admitted they were living there.
