Special volunteer helped Lynn prepare for historic debate

Young man didn't let challenges stop him

BOCA RATON, Fla.  Many Lynn University students and staff members viewed Monday's last presidential showdown at the school's official debate watch party, which was held at the school's soccer field.

The event took a lot of hard work to set-up by student volunteers, spending all day turning the field into a massive party venue.

Ryan Hoffman, 22, is part of Lynn's Project Access program, which helps those students with disabilities continue education.

Hoffman was diagnosed with autism when he was younger.

He says he is interested in politics and was very proud and humbled to help in Monday's historic event at Lynn University.

"Not to take for granted, but something to be proud of, because someday when I have kids or when I tell my friends the next day I want to have a story to tell," explained Hoffman.

He says he hopes he's a motivation and an inspiration for other young people with disabilities.
