FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Several south Florida flights have been affected by a San Francisco crash on Saturday.
From the Fort Lauderdale International airport, one United Airlines flight to San Francisco was cancelled.
A JetBlue Airways flight that left from FLL, originally intended to San Francisco International Airport, ended up being diverted to Oakland.
In Miami, one flight leaving from Miami International Airport to San Francisco International Airport was delayed, and two flights out were cancelled. One flight from SFO to MIA was cancelled.
Edith Cintron, a Tennessee resident, was waiting at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport for the arrival of her brother from Puerto Rico, and she said the crash made her nervous for his flight.
"I flew in yesterday, and I was scared to get on the plane," said Cintron. "It's scary because you never hear about a plane crashing, so it's scary."
One flight landing at FLL from San Francisco that had a delayed start was scheduled to arrive at midnight.
