YAHOO! mail users complain about partial outage

Company issued recent response on social media

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - YAHOO! mail users who have been experiencing an email outage received this note Wednesday afternoon.

We are very sorry for recent difficulties with Yahoo Mail.

Some of our users have not been able to access their mail since 10:27 PM PT on Monday night, due to a hardware problem in one of our mail data centers. The issue has been harder to fix than we originally expected.

We have dozens of people working around the clock to bring it to a resolution. We believe our current efforts will restore our users' access to their inboxes by 3 pm PT today.  We'll post again then on our  @YahooMail  Twitter handle.

Original story below:

Frustrated users of YAHOO! mail are taking to social media to complain about a partial outage.  Many were frustrated because of no response from the company.

This is the response today on Facebook from the company:

Yahoo Mail is aware some users are having service disruptions. The engineering team is working on the issue. Please stay tuned for updates.

Susan Kalman of Palm Beach Gardens reached out to NewsChannel 5 about the ongoing outage.

"It's such an imposition," Kalman said

She's searching for a job and is concerned the outage could affect her chances of landing one.

"I'm in contact with two employers that seem very interested and I would like to see if they emailed me or if there's any other step I have to take," she said.

Kalman says she can understand a temporary outage but is concerned with how long this one has lasted.
