TweetDeck Hacked! If you’re like many TweetDeck users, you may have noticed a rogue tweet show up in your Twitter feed Wednesday. Messages ranging from coded script to heart icons to some rather embarrassing one-liners were posted to users’ profiles. Twitter quickly jumped in to action, shutting down TweetDeck’s access to tweets for about an hour while the security breach was resolved. So for once, users could blame that questionable tweet on real hackers, not a lapse in judgment. Read more about the breach here .

This week, Facebook users began to notice a new life event option: “Lost Weight.” But contrary to what users think, this option isn’t exactly new – it’s been around since 2011, along with other unusual life updates.
