Say it isn't so: local foodies take to social media to sound off about local eateries' closings

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Local diners received a shock on Monday, June 23 when two local restaurants – Tiki Waterfront Sea Grill in Riviera Beach and Rooney’s the Gastropub in Jupiter – announced they were closing. Tiki Waterfront Sea Grill posted an announcement on their Facebook page , saying:

Rooney’s the Gastropub also announced, via their website, that the pub had shut down after 14 years, citing struggles since the economic downtown in 2008. Restaurant-goers shared their thoughts on WPTV’s Facebook page , and many Pittsburgh Steelers fans wondered where they would watch their beloved team during football season.
