Samsung is hoping customers will forget its last new launch with an all-new line of Galaxy smartphones.

The tech giant unveiled the Galaxy S-8 and S-8+ Wednesday.

The launch comes just months after Samsung's world-wide recall of its Galaxy Note 7.

Users reported Note 7s overheating, catching on fire and even exploding.

Samsung initially blamed faulty batteries but some experts believe a design flaw was to blame for the problems.

The recall wiped out billions of dollars of profits and hurt Samsung's brand.

The new S-8 phones are bigger than the Galaxy S-7 and have curved screens that flow onto the sides.

One thing missing is a physical home button.

It's also the first phone to feature Samsung's new virtual assistant, Bixby.

Pre-orders on the phone open Thursday. Shipping starts April 21st.
