Google 'augmented reality' glasses go viral, experimental tech puts the Internet in your face

Wish you could keep surfing the Web while on the go? Well Google might have your answer.

Reuters reports that Google Inc has been showing off an experimental pair of thin wraparound glasses that put the Internet in your face.

According to the Reuters report, the "augmented reality" glasses - from the same team that is developing self-driven cars - can take photos, initiate video chats similar to Apple's FaceTime and display GPS directions at the sound of a user's voice.

The prototype digital glasses were unveiled on the company's Google+ social network Wednesday, according to Reuters, and they are still being tweaked and tested.

Google wrote in a post on a Google+ page, "We're sharing this information now because we want to start a conversation and learn from your valuable input."
