One of the fiercest high school football rivalries is happening Friday night. Glades Central faces Pahokee High School for the Muck Bowl.

The stakes are high in the annual matchup, most importantly the bragging rights the winner will bare.

Undefeated Pahokee is planning on a win.  Their hope is to enter the playoffs a perfect 10-0, but the Glades Central Raiders (6-3) are looking to pull the upset.

The Muck Bowl has a history of being the most memorable game of the year. Many current and former NFL players played in the Muck Bowl.

Cre'Von LeBlanc cornerback for the Chicago Bears is a Glades Central Alumni and says every athlete plays in hopes of making their mark and getting drafted in the NFL.

"When you’re out there on the field, that’s all you think about," LeBlanc said. "I’m going to be a NFL player and you’re not taking no for an answer out there. That’s how confident kids and I was back then.”

Some former players may be in attendance Friday. The game is at Anquan Boldin Stadium at 7 p.m. Historically Glades Central has won 32 Muck Bowls while Pahokee has 26 wins.
