ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. - Donajean Kapp doesn't visit the old Lakewood Park home of her sister very often.
In January of 2006, arsonists struck the home of Dori Ann Myers.
"That's where it was. It was in this room, by this bedroom and the front door," said Kapp as she points out where the fire started behind the still boarded up windows
Two pets of Myers were killed and she was abducted. Her car was found three hours later, and 80 miles away at a boat ramp in Glades County. Her body has never been found, but eight years seems like eight minutes ago to Kapp.
"I can see her running out that door and jumping up on me and giving me hugs you know," said Kapp tearfully.
The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office looks at this case monthly, but no one knows what happened to Myers.
Myers has officially been declared dead but Kapp, who now lives in North Florida, hopes to organize a search through the Cue Center For Missing Persons , an organization she now volunteers for.
"I'm ready for whatever resolution there is, I just want some answers. I want to know what happened and I want justice for her," said Kapp.
If you have any information on where Dori Ann Myers is, contact the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office or Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-800-273-TIPS.
