A small plane crashed in Western St. Lucie County Monday.
Around 3:35 p.m. the pilot of Piper Warrior 3 plane reported mechanical problems.
He tried to set the plane down in an orange grove. Upon landing, the plane clipped a pickup truck and hit a barn, according to the St. Lucie County Fire District.
The 23-year-old male pilot was only one on board. He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
There was someone in the pickup truck who was unharmed.
The incident happened at 34151 Orange Avenue, almost to the Okeechobee County line
The plane is owned by Flight Safety International.
