An Indian River State College student who was shot by police while she was on campus has filed a lawsuit against the school, campus security and the Fort Pierce Police Department.
23-year-old Roxanne Ojeda is seeking one million dollars.
During the February 2013 shooting, Fort Pierce police were trying to catch a suspect in the college's parking lot.
One officer fired at a suspect and accidentally hit Ojeda instead. She was attending classes at IRSC.
She says she underwent two operations along with emotional stress.
The department says it is aware of the lawsuit but is not commenting at this time.
