Hadley is accused of killing his parents Blake and Mary Jo in their Port St. Lucie home in 2011 when he was 17. He allegedly hid their bodies in a bedroom and threw a party at the home.

On Feb. 18, Hadley changed his not-guilty plea to no-contest, giving up his right to a jury trial and to challenge the state's evidence against him.

Before the plea change last month, Hadley was planning to plead not guilty by reason of insanity. He is charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

Assistant State Attorney Tom Bakkedahl said that the state will ask for two consecutive life sentences. If the judge agrees, Hadley would not be eligible for parole until he was 67 at the earliest.

The sentencing is expected to last one to two weeks.
