A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Wednesday morning for the grand opening of Tradition Medical Center in Port St. Lucie.
Martin Health System reps said the state of the art facility, which has been 15 years in the making, cost $110 million dollars.
The building is more than 200,000 square feet and has 90 patient beds with the potential to expand to 300 patient beds.
500 jobs were filled to staff the hospital.
Hospital officials said the center will stimulate growth and attract new businesses to the area.
