Three men arrested in Port St. Lucie prostitution sting

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Responding to what they say were several citizens' complaints, Port St. Lucie police set up a prostitution sting at a local hotel that resulted in several arrests Wednesday.

According to a media release, detectives arrested three men on charges of solicitation of prostitution during the undercover sting. Arrested were 42-year-old Hector Manuel Perez, 56-year-old John Warner and one additional unidentified man.

Before the sting began, detectives witnessed an unrelated drug buy in the hotel parking lot where the sting was taking place. Along with a narcotics K-9 named Deuce, detectives found over 100 heroin capsules, over 34 oxycodone pills, crack and marijuana. Detectives seized a 2013 Kia and a 2012 Yamaha motorcycle during the incident and the DEA responded.

"Port Saint Lucie police take prostitution very seriously, and often prostitutes are victims of human trafficking.  Florida Attorney General, Pam Bondi has been at the forefront of tougher Human Trafficking laws and Port St Lucie Police has answered the call in this latest arrest," stated Detective Keith Boham.
