Sonny Meade: Port St. Lucie Police arrest suspect after 92-year-old woman confronts burglar

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - A 92-year-old woman who was confronted by a burglar in her home was able to keep her cool and get the suspect out of her house, according to the Port St. Lucie Police.

Officers said the woman spotted a man walking through her backyard and lost site of him.  Investigators said the man then entered her house and confronted her in the kitchen.

The suspect, according to police, told the woman that he was there to see a man named "Matt" about pulling weeds.

The woman told the man there was no one there by that name and he should leave.

After the suspect left the victim, she called police.

Port St. Lucie Police said they located the suspect, identified as Sonny Meade, at the entrance of the Rivergate Plaza.

The victim was able to identify Meade, and he was arrested and charged with burglary.
