PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Two people are now in custody and are facing charges that they stole DVDs from Sam's Club and sold them to local pawnbrokers.
Port St. Lucie police say that Shannon Bailey and Craig Devine stole hundreds of DVDs from Sam's Club stores at 10900 S US Highway 1 and 1750 SW Gatlin Blvd between March 10th and April 5th.
Officers say that they received information about the two suspects from the public after information about the thefts aired on WPTV and other local media outlets.
Police say they were able to obtain surveillance from the Sam's Clubs as well as local pawn shops that showed Bailey and Devine taking and then reselling the DVDs.
Bailey, according to police, has been charged with 9 counts of giving false information to a pawnbroker, grand theft and 9 counts of dealing in stolen property.
Devine is facing two counts of grand theft.
Police estimate the DVDs are worth around $13,000.
Both Bailey and Devine were booked into the St. Lucie County Jail.
