Radcliff Levar Baxter arrested after PSL man beaten with pipe and robbed early Saturday

A Port St. Lucie man was beaten with a pipe and robbed of his wallet as he walked home from a convenience store at about 12:45 a.m. Saturday, according to city police.

The man had gone to get snacks and was headed home on Southeast Hillmoor Drive when two men on a bicycle attacked him, according to an arrest affidavit.

He told police he recognized one of the men as “Cliff.”

Police went to Radcliff Levar Baxter’s home in the 2000 block of Southeast Hideaway Circle and found him wearing the clothing the victim said “Cliff” had been wearing, the affidavit said.

Baxter, 35, was charged with armed robbery.

He remained at the St. Lucie County Jail on Tuesday in lieu of a $50,000 bond, jail records show.
