Port St. Lucie thieves steal $13K in DVDs from 2 Sam's Club locations

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - The Port St. Lucie Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying two people who stole hundreds of DVDs from two Sam’s Clubs.

The thefts occurred at stores located at 10900 S. US Highway 1 and 1750 SW Gatlin Blvd.

Sam’s Club loss prevention reported that between April 4, and April 5, 2014, a man and woman entered the US 1 store and stole about 440 DVDs and Blu-ray movies with a total value of $8,800. 

On April 8, police said the same couple entered the Gatlin Boulevard Sam’s Club and stole about 220 DVDs, bringing the total loss from both Sam’s Club stores to about $13,200.

Surveillance video shows the couple entering the store then concealing the DVDs in an extremely large purse that the woman was carrying. 

Police believe the thieves will either sell the stolen DVDs online, at Fleamarkets or on the streets. 

Officers said the woman is 5 feet 6 inches, 150 pounds with blonde hair in her mid to late 30s.  The man is a about 6 feet, 200 pounds with brown hair and a brown to reddish goatee.
