PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Port St. Lucie police are seeking the public's help in identifying two suspects who invaded a home in broad daylight in Port St. Lucie, according to police.
On Monday afternoon a neighbor called police to report a home in the 300 block of SE Greenways had been robbed.
A 59-year-old woman, was home alone when two suspects, armed with semi-auto handguns, entered her home, according to police.
The woman was held at gunpoint for approximately 5-10 minutes before the victim's 20-year-old son and his friend walked in on the robbery, according to authorities.
Police say the two unidentified suspects attacked the victim's son and his friend as they entered the home.
The suspects struck them in the head with their handguns, causing lacerations to both, according to police.
The victims tried to run, but were chased and eventually caught and brought back to the home by the suspects.
The suspects fled on bikes with an undisclosed amount of property, according to police.
A surveillance camera captured video of the two men.
One is described as a black male about 18 to 22 years old, approximately 5'-11" – 6'-2" tall, weighing approximately 175-180 lbs. He was wearing a a black shirt, black shorts, dark colored sneakers, with a light colored hat with a snap back, and red, white & blue colored handkerchief.
The other suspect is described as a black male about 18 to 22 years old, approximately 5'-10" – 6'-0" tall, weighing approximately 175-185 lbs. He was wearing a black colored hooded sweatshirt with the words "ACE" printed on the back and had a black shirt tied around his head.
