Port St. Lucie Police searching for 'Towel Boy' burglar

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Port St. Lucie police are looking for a teen burglary suspect who was seen on surveillance video breaking into several vehicles and then wiping off his fingerprints with a towel.

Police say the car break-ins happened around 6 a.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of S.W. Hampshire Lane.

That morning, police responded to five vehicle burglary calls as well as a vandalism to a vehicle call on a nearby street.

Officers obtained surveillance video that showed a suspect described as a white male between the ages of 15 and 20 years old breaking into the vehicles and wiping away evidence with a towel he had wrapped around his wrist.
