Port St. Lucie Police investigating robbery to the First United Methodist Church

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Port St. Lucie Police officers responded to a robbery at the First United Methodist Church Saturday after the pastor and his wife reported being robbed by a man at knife point.

According to police, officers were called to the church located at 260 S.W. Prima Vista Boulevard around 3 p.m. to investigate a robbery. Once on scene, they met with the church's associate pastor and wife who said a white male suspect in his 30's entered the church, armed with a knife and demanded money.

Police say when the associate pastor told the man he had no money, the man took a cell phone and two laptop computers. The man then left the church on foot.

Police K-9 units were able to trace the suspect's tracks for about a block when the track went cold.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30’s with a couple of days old facial hair, wearing a dark in color baseball cap, white t-shirt, blue jeans, approximately 5’9” tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds.
