Parkway Elementary School no longer on lockdown in Port St. Lucie after report of suspicious person

PORT ST. LUCIE — Port St. Lucie police searched Parkway Elementary School after students reported to a teacher that they saw a person in a ski mask running down a hall, but they didn't find anyone suspicious, a police spokesman said.

The incident happened about 10 a.m. at the school in the 7000 block of Northwest Selvitz Road, according to Master Sgt. Frank Sabol, police spokesman.

The lockdown was lifted at 10:40 a.m. and police left the facility.

Sabol said several officers searched the facility, but found nothing.
