Three people were arrested following a drug sting in a residential Port St. Lucie neighborhood, according to the Port St. Lucie Police Department.

Officials say the investigation began on April 26 after a concerned citizen told police that 29-year-old James Dean Snyder was selling marijuana out of his home located in the 1400 block of SE Grapeland Ave.

Detectives conducted a drug sting on April 27 and purchased 1 ounce of marijuana from Snyder using $20 bills recorded by their serial numbers. A second drug sting took place on May 3 when detectives again purchased another ounce of marijuana.

On May 25, a search warrant was executed at Snyder's house, when detectives located a safe with over $7,000 cash that included the $20 bills used by detectives during the drug sting.  A total of $10,000 in cash was seized, along with the marijuana, drug paraphernalia, such as smoking devices, a grinder, Ziploc bags, and a digital scale.

Snyder was arrested for sale of marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, and use of  two-way communication device.

Snyder's girlfriend, 21-year-old Michelle Dayle Mcllmurray and his mother, 49-year-old Dorothy Jean Snyder, were also arrested with similar charges.

All three were taken to the St. Lucie County Jail for booking.
