PORT ST. LUCIE, Fl. - A Port St. Lucie woman has been arrested and charged with using her 6 year old son to shoplift at Wal-Mart.
Port St. Lucie Police say Evelyn McSweeney was spotted by the store's loss prevention officer shopping with her young son.
Investigators say that Mc Sweeney was seen taking a Lego set from the toy isle in the grocery section.
When McSweeney got to the check out register she gave the toy to her son.
The child, according to police, tried to put the Lego set on the conveyer belt but McSweeney instead put it in a Wal-Mart bag.
Police say that the child carried the toy out of the store that wasn't paid for.
According to police, McSweeney was also arrested on June 1 for allegedly using juveniles to carry merchandise out of Wal-Mart without paying.
Mc Sweeney has been charged with retail theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
