PORT ST. LUCIE — The submerged body of a man last seen Tuesday night was found Wednesday near the man's house boat at the Club Med marina, though foul play is not suspected in the incident, according to police.
The body of Donald Coutts, 47, was found several hours after police were called at 8:40 a.m. Wednesday to the marina in the 3500 block of Southeast Morningside Boulevard.
A dock master told police she saw two dogs wandering the dock without their owner – Coutts. She said that was highly unusual, and she tried to contact Coutts on his house boat.
The Port St. Lucie police department's marine unit and the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office dive team searched the surrounding water. Special underwater sonar equipment was used in finding Coutts.
Police are investigating but do not suspect foul play was involved in the death.
