Antonio White: Man accused of transporting pot from West Palm Beach to Gainesville arrested

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. - Port St. Lucie police officers arrested a man on drug charges for allegedly transporting marijuana from West Palm Beach to Gainesville.

According to police, officers conducting traffic enforcement around I-95 and Becker Road spotted a 2008 black Nissan Altima traveling at 90 mph in a 70 mph zone.

The vehicle was driven by Gainesville resident Antonio White. Officers pulled over White's vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. During the stop a K-9 unit detected drugs in the trunk of White's vehicle. Officers were able to secure 471 grams of marijuana in a black backpack that was in White's trunk.

White was taken into police custody and transported to the St. Lucie County Jail on charges of possession of marijuana over 20 grams, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
