Anthony Olano charged with accepting stolen items at his Port St. Lucie pawn shop

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - The owner of a Port St. Lucie pawn shop has been arrested and charged with four counts of dealing in stolen property and four counts of falsifying ownership by a second-hand dealer.

Port St. Lucie police said they were investigating a burglary to a home in the 200 block of SW Voltair Terrace where a gun was stolen.

Police said that Nicholas Bickman stole a Rugar .45 cailber gun from the home and sold it to Michael Williams.

Both were arrested and booked into the St. Lucie County Jail.

Detectives said Bickman and another suspect, that police did not identify, took items from another home, which were sold to the Town Jewelers Two at 3259 SW Port St. Lucie Blvd.

Police questioned the store owner, Anthony Olano, about purchasing stolen items.

Olano denied the purchase, however police said surveillance video showed that purchased stolen jewelry was immediately melted it down.

Police said that Olano did not document the transaction as required by law and he was supposed to hold the merchandise for 30 days.

Olano was arrested by the Port St. Lucie police and booked into the St. Lucie County Jail.
