PORT ST. LUCIE — Two Miami men linked to a Thursday night thefts of cell phones and related equipment from two stores in St. Lucie West were arrested on felony charges, according to affidavits released Friday.
Demetrius Stephun Green, 23, and 25-year-old Dante Bradshaw, each were arrested by Port St. Lucie police on two grand theft charges in connection with the incidents at an AT&T store in the 1300 block of Northwest St. Lucie West Boulevard and at a Verizon Wireless store in the 1600 block of Northwest St. Lucie West Boulevard.
An officer about 7:30 p.m. went to the AT&T store after two men were reported to have stolen cell phones and left in a silver Nissan Altima. They were described as being in their early 20s and black. One wore all black clothes and a red hat, while the other wore a light blue striped shirt and khaki pants.
Meanwhile, an officer saw a silver Altima and two men leaving another store. The men matched the description of those from the AT&T incident.
The men, identified as Green and Bradshaw, were arrested and more than $1,800 in cell phones were recovered.
Police also reported Green and Bradshaw, both of the same listed address in Miami, were involved in the theft of nearly $600 in goods, including an iPhone, from the Verizon Wireless store.
Further, police reported finding thousands of dollars in new phone and related equipment in their vehicle. Police haven't determined who owns that property.
