PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- An 11-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle as she rode her bicycle on SW Traditions Parkway while crossing over the intersection of SW Village Parkway.
Police say a 2013 grey Mercedes traveling north on SW Village Parkway was driving through the crosswalk when the bicycle hit the right front section of the car.
The girl was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
