JENSEN BEACH, Fla. - St. Lucie County deputies conducted a raid at a suspected grow house on Monday.
Investigators say that they had conducted surveillance at the house located in the 13000 block of South Indian River Drive.
Deputies say when Jerry Jean-Baptiste left the house in his car deputies followed him and then pulled him over for speeding on South Indian River Drive.
Baptiste, according to an arrest report, had the smell of raw marijuana on his clothing.
Deputies say that they later seized 38 plants inside the South Indian River Drive house along with equipment used to grow marijuana.
Jean-Baptiste told investigators that he would tend the plants and then get a percentage of the harvest.
Deputies have charged him with producing marijuana with the intent to sell.
