Nine Treasure Coast couples recited their wedding vows Sunday at a group wedding ceremony at Heathcote Botanical Gardens in Fort Pierce. This was the seventh Valentine’s Day wedding hosted by St. Lucie County Clerk Joe Smith.
The free ceremony gave couples the opportunity to get married with the support of local businesses. Wedding cakes, flowers, music, hors d'oeuvres and photography were among the many services donated to the couples.
“Our Valentine’s Day weddings have become so popular over the years because they are excellent opportunities for couples to have a memorable and beautiful wedding without breaking the bank,” Clerk Smith said. “I’m thankful for the support of the community to make this day a dream come true for our newlyweds.”
The only cost to the couples was their marriage license.
