FORT PIERCE — A business on Delaware Avenue sustained significant damage following a Wednesday morning fire, but no one was injured, a St. Lucie County Fire District spokeswoman said.
Crews were called a 2:05 a.m. Wednesday to the business, identified as Studio Epic Unisex Salon, in the 1200 block of Delaware Avenue, Fire District spokeswoman Catherine Chaney said.
Chaney said arriving crews saw heavy smoke and flames.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but there is nothing immediately suspicious, she said.
The damage was significant but an estimated dollar amount was not available.
