Soldier surprises little sister in school; combat medic just finished yearlong tour of duty

Traveled from Korea straight to Fort Pierce

PFC Jorge Mitchell just finished a yearlong tour of duty in South Korea.

The 20-year-old Army combat medic missed a lot of things about this country. "I missed my mom's cooking."

But what he missed the most was his 10-year-old sister Alexxa.

"She talks with me all the time. She walks like me talks like me eats like me sleeps like me, everything."

Alexxa spent the last year watching soldier reunion videos on YouTube.

"I've always wanted my brother to surprise me like that," she says.

She did not realize as she walked down the hall to the front office that Wednesday at St. Lucie Elementary would be her day.  When she saw her brother, she raced into his arms and everyone around began to sob.

This was actually a double surprise.

Private Mitchell's grandparents are in from Venezuela.  They had no idea he was coming back today.

But for the next three weeks, Private Mitchell is all Alexxa's.

"Play with him a lot, hang out with him spend time with him," she said.
