FORT PIERCE, Fla. - A Port St. Lucie man was arrested for allegedly selling fake watches in a Walmart parking lot.
According to a release from the St. LLucie County Sheriff's Office, Robert Henry Kidd was taken into custody Wednesday night on a felony charge of selling counterfeit brand-name property.
Martin County deputies worked alongside a Miami-based private investigator who specializes in brand name theft cases for this investigation.
Deputies arranged for a purchase of eight suspected counterfeit Rolex watches and one suspected fake Tag Heuer watch at the Walmart parking lot, located at 10655 South U.S.1 in Port St. Lucie.
When a St. Lucie County Sheriff's undercover detective purchased the watches for $340, deputies arrested Kidd.
Kidd has since been released after posting a $15,000 bond.
