Robert Earl Davis charged with participating in an armed robbery at a Fort Pierce convenience store

FORT PIERCE, Fla. - Fort Pierce Police have arrested one of two men they say robbed the Lucky Seven convenience store early Sunday morning.

Officers say that just before 6am they were called to an armed robbery at the store located in the 500 block of 13 Street.

The store clerk told police that two masked men came inside the store and demanded money and cigarettes.

Police say that one of the men pointed a gun at the clerk and the other jumped on the store's counter grabbing money out of the cash register.

Both suspects fled the store on foot according to officers,

Police say that as the suspect left the store they fired one shot at the establishment.

The clerk then fired back at them as they fled.

No one was hurt according to investigators.

Fort Pierce Police say that they observed one of the suspects Robert Earl Davis around noon Sunday at Northwest 18th St and Avenue G.

Davis was arrested and charged with robbery with a firearm, assault with intent to commit a felony and grand theft.

Police are still searching for the second suspect.
